How to remove torsion bar on 1997 F150

I'm trying to remove the torsion bars from a 1997 F150 and i'm having diffacuties. I have removed the adjustment bolt and nut from the "keys". Now i can't figure out if the keys come off the bars and if so how forward or backward, drive it off??
How do the bars remove from the lower control arms?
Any help would be great Thank You

unbolt the crossmember and tap it towards the rear (I had to beat them) the bars pull out of the front lower a-arms and the "keys" slip over the end also.
