cv joints

I have been reading all these post about guys rekeying / cranking up their torsion bars to achieve 3 plus inches. Does going this high have any adverse affect on the cv joints?

You get a much stiffer ride since you loose down travel from the front suspension. I would not go more than 2" of lift with them. You may need an alignment as well. There is some added stress on the CV joints as well since they always turn.

Mxtweeter2000 did you miss type? 12" is impossible from just cranking the torsion bars....

No no miss type. I have adjusted my torsion bars and added bigger springs in the back. 12" total of lift with fabtech suspension and three inch body. Sorry for the miss under standing. I should of clarified that.
