Chamber/Caster bolt kit

I just got new 285/70/17 BF A/T, when my front alignment was completed they said they could not adjust the front perfect unless I bought an optional Chamber/Caster Bolt Kit.

Anyone know what this is for? Why Ford did not install these originally?

Thanks
Chris

Chris,

What they do is allow you to move each end of the Upper a arm left or right or up and down. Doing this will change the steering geometry. This is how they change the Camber and Caster settings. Here is a link to what the bolts look like. http://www.ingallseng.com/Instructions/29000.pdf

To answer the second question; Ford doesn't have to install them becasue everything lines up perfectly.

I live in western MI. I noticed your pics from the Sno-Run. Where was that at?

That was in Allegan State Forest.
