anybody done a straight axle conversion?

i was thinking about doing a straight axle conversion on my truck in the near future and wanted to see if anybody has done this before here and could give me some pointers on what i will need or some tips to how to keep it as drivable as posible, so if any of you guys have done this before or know somebody who has on a 97-03 4x4 f-150 let me know what i will need or links to any websites that will help, thanks alot guys for any help you could provide

I hope this link works they sell a kit for 2195 it doesn't look like it comes with an axle though. it is also a eight inch or ten inch lift combined with it.

if you use leaf springs instead, i bet you get get away ALOT cheaper.

if possible i would like the 4 link in front i think it would handle alot better and be more flexy than the springs, i am trying to build the most capible offroad f-150 ever built, not going for price going for function
