which Bilsteins?

I'm ordering Bilsteins next week for my crew. Should I get the Lightning Spec Bilsteins or the replacements for the Screw? Currently I have only lowered the rear but I'm going to drop the front 2" within the next couple of weeks and bring the back down another 1" or 2".

Call Shane @ Bilstein HQ. He is the "shock" guru and will be able to tell you which Bilstein shocks you need. The phone number is:
1-858-386-5900.

Shane told me exactly which parts number I needed for my F150 with a 6" Fabtech lift.

Good luck.

The best price I found was at Shox.com. A set will run me 254.80 with free shipping.

Thanks noirluispher.

I spoke to Shane (very nice guy) and he said to go with the Bilsteins made for the Lightning. They are valved differently for stiffer springs but have the same stroke. The part numbers are BE-2478-H1 for the front and BE-2479-H1 for the rear. He said not to cut the rear bump stops or I would bottom the shock out and damage it. I ordered them today. I'll let you know how I like them when I get them on and I'll post pics when I get my drop done.

Hold up. Change of plans. Lightning Rears from Bilstein are on national backorder until June. I'm going to use Lightning fronts and Supercrew Rears. I think that will work better anyway since I'm going to use stiffer front springs and hangers/shackles in the back.
