Torsion Bar Adjustment Tool

I got a lift kit for my 2002 4WD F-150, and the instructions advise to have a Torsion Bar Adjustment Tool (with the F150 Adapters) to remove the Torsion Bar. Thats cool until you start looking around to get one. No one seems to have them let alone being able to rent from the ones that do.

So now I am looking to purchase one. I end up calling Snap-on tools, and learn from the guy that he cant ever remember selling one, and then suggests that the mechanics must be using a different method of removing torsion bars. So, my question is...How do you remove torsion bars if you dont use the torsion bar adjustment/unloading tool? C clamps?

Thanks all for the input!

I think most people just use a gear jaw puller.

The tool is made by OTC. There are adapers for the F150/Expedition and another set of adapters for the Explorer. The tool is expensive though.
