05' FX4 4x4 Lift Question

I've searched and read as much as I can take, so...
I'm going to have my truck lifted soon in Los Angeles Area (The Valley).

1. Any recommened installers? I think I will use a 6" Fabtech kit.
2. If I keep the gears stock can I put anything bigger than 35"s on the truck? If not what do I need, in addition to the 6" lift? (Body lift etc.)
3. What is the down side leaving the gears stock?

Thank you!

I wouldn't go taller than 35's with stock gears. If you do, performance will suffer. You will also put more strain on your engine and tranny.

Talking Aggressive Suspension in Anaheim

Aggressive is owned by the guys that started Fabtech. If you ask around in So. Cal. you will hear nothing but good things about these guys.

I'll be taking my truck in December for the Fabtech treatment.

You can reach them at 714-632-9001 or check them out online at www.aggressivesuspension.com.

Do you think I'll hurt my transmission with just 35s for about 2 years until I upgrade to 4.88s and 37s?

I would think 35's would be fine on these trucks, especially if you have 4.10 gears. I know if I had 3.73's in my 01 Screw, my next set of tires would be 35's.
