3" Body Lift

I have a 2003 F150 4x2 Reg Cab, and I want to put a 3" body lift on the front and rear. Are there any disadvantages to a body lift rather than a suspension lift? I'm looking into body lifts simply because they are cheaper. How hard are they to install and are they reliable? And does anyone know any good brands to look into? Any help would be appreciated.

Right. Go with the Performance Accessories kit. I'm on my third truck with a PA body lift and have never had a problem. The only disadvantage I've found is you are limited to only 3 inches of lift.

Does anyone have any pics of just a body lift on the 2004 thru 2006 F150 models?

A body lift isn't hard to install, but it is time consuming, tedious work. Mine took me all weekend to install, but I was basically working by myself. The only cutting I did was cutting the ends of my frame off up front to clean up the installation. The frame was pretty easy to trim with a sawsall.

Disadvantages are that there is now a visible 3" gap inbetween your frame and body, everything on the frame will be 3" lower than the body, such as the hitch, bumpers (unless if you get the kit for those too), and the exhaust.

The PA body lift comes with front and rear bumper relocation brackets. Our trucks show very little frame and what little a body lift reveals is easily covered by nerf bars.
