Having put in 18 glorious years working in a parts store, you all can't imagine how much junk I've seen come and go. While I do like PB Blaster, the best stuff I've ever seen, as well as the only penetrant/spray lubricant I personally use is Justice Brothers JB-80. It is a bit more expensive, but I'm not interested in cost when it comes down to doing what I want it to do.

PB B'laster will break the rus from where they're rusted together, but the exposed threads below the nut are the biggest problem (they rust and swell, and they'll never go back through that nut). Get down there with a die grinder and cut the extra threads off, then take the nut off. I won't even waste my time trying to wrench them out.... it's not worth it.

My buddy ran a maintenance shop for the Texas Natl Guard. They had this stuff in little army green squirt cans that stinks to high heaven but it works. It did not have a name on the lable, just a number and the words, Penetrating Fluid. They affectionately called it "Skeeter Pee".

Still use the penetrating oil but, I have done two of these kits, one with pnuematic wrenches and one without and there is no comparison.
Good luck!

Really??? An air wrench is easier than using just your arm and a socket set?
Interesting.

Odds are even the best impact won't drive 'em out. All three I've helped with entailed cutting the bed bolts from underneath. They start to turn, but the threads have rusted and swelled, and there's no amount of torque that'll drive 'em back through the nut. Usually the Torx head strips first, then the vice grips aren't big enough, then the pipe wrench mangles the head, then you cut 'em from underneath. I like to skip the other junk, cut the bolts, then cut the j-clip nut-retainers and you're done. In less than 10 minutes, you can hack all six bolts versus cranking on them for an hour.
Maybe I'm just lazy? :dunno:
