well can you? it really isnt that hard if you think about it just need to weld leaf mounts and maybe move shock mounts then steering linkage?? right or AM I MISSING SOMETHING??

 

Why not, just like swaping out IFS on any other truck for a straight axle. You could four link the front instead of the common leaf spring.

 

i thought about four link but leaf is cheaper i only ask because the new chevy half tons you cant straight axle aquawelded frames

i have heard that fabritech straight axle conversion is not the best quility, but it looks good in the pics, a couple members over at FTW have installed the kit

 

browsing around on the internet I found a guy who posted all the pics on his fabritech leaf sprung sas with a 97 or newer f150- if I can dig up his site, i'll post it up but I found it entering in various sas combinations
