Worries with Autospring 2" leveling kit
#33
I have the 2" AS on my '09 4x4 SCREW. Even with the extra leaf spring from the factory (stock on 20" wheels or max-trailer-tow on the '09), the front sits 1/2" higher than the rear. I will add a 1" rear lift block from fat-bob's soon.
I really like the leveling kit - the truck looks much nicer with it. You should get an alignment after the install - your toe will be out of spec.
Also, on the '09, you should remove the lower control frame bolts for the install. If you don't, you will need to apply extreme force to the lower control arm to get the strut back in. The arm won't lower enough because the CV joints are binding.

Yup! Same old questions from new guys with new (to them) trucks! I don't mind answering up though, we were all there at some point! When I first started with these type of forums, it never helped when people would reply with, "Try Searching...."!

I like this thread because it's funny to me to see old post from peoples whose trucks have changed so much since they were a newb themselves. Reading this knowing what fx4life's truck is now is funny to me in a good way. People have dug up old posts of mine as well about not lifting it etc etc and look now hahah.
Back on topic. Dang old thread haha jk
