All 97-03 F-150 4x4's have torsion bar. The 04 Heritage Edition F-150 (they look like the 03 model) 4x4's also have torsion bars. All of the 04-07 F-150's (4x4 and 4x2) went to coilover shocks.

Also, the 97-03/04 heritage 4x2 F150s use coil springs. Only the 4x4's use torsion bars.

No that wasn't a joke i wasn't paying attention to the year of his truck because mine is as 94 and i have no torsion bars
