uneven ride height

On my 97 F-150 4X4 the right side sits 1/2 inch higher than the left side. I work at a toyota dealership and we get a few fords in now and then and they all seem to be 1/2 " higher on the passenger side also. Can anyone shed some light on this? I've done everything to correct this on my truck from setting the truck up on a frame machine with a laser measuring system to buying new leaf spring packs. Am I trying to correct a problem that is in the Ford design?

You may be, because it seems to be pretty common.

Its only noticable in the rear. I even installed new torsion bars thinking that was causing the truck to be slightly un-even. The front is perfect but the right rear wheel has a 1/2" gap more than the other side............bugging the hell out of me.
