Squeaking noise from the rear...
I drive a 1998 4x4 F-150 w/ 130,000 miles. It's my first car, I'm 16.
When going over small bumps there is a creaking/ squeaking noise.
Also if I were to take a sharp turn to the right side, it would make a clunk noise.
All this started right after I put my new shocks on, Edelbrock Performer IAS
It SEEMS to be like its only coming from the right side. I did some searching, it's NOT the tailgate, and I WD-40ed the leaf springs, and bushings..
What's my problem?

This is an old post, but you didn't get any responses... so...
Check to see if the shaft has separated (come unscrewed) from the lower mount. I had that problem with my Edelbrocks, the left rear in particular. Same symptoms: squeaks and clunks. The shaft just screws into the lower mount, and after a while it works loose and then disconnects. Strips itself in the process. Design flaw, if you ask me. Rather than do a warranty exchange, I just tack welded the shaft to the mount. Problem solved.
