installed flip kit...need to raise rear up!

OK I got my truck with a 6" flip kit already installed and the overload leaf pulled, I need to lift the rear of the truck up 2-3" and wondered what was suggested. Money is tight but i found a set of add-a-leafs to lift 1.5-2.5" on truckperformance.com and they are only $60 for the pair. Please let me know what you think. The truck is a 98 4.6 supercab btw. Thanks

Scott

With a flip kit in place, blocks would lower the rear more. I'd suggest trying a lift shackle or an add-a-leaf.

yes blocks would lower it even more since the axle is now above the leaf springs. My main concern is only having two leafs in the rear with no overload that it is too much pressure on those leafs, I can see where the leafs are bending under pressure and the axle is almost sitting on the bumpstops now. So I figured add-a-leaf would lift it up AND give me the much needed extra leaf. And they are also about the same price as lift shackles.

I actually thought about it overnight after I wrote the reply and will admit that I was thinking shackles as opposed to an actual flip kit DUH! Ice my apologies.
