I just finished with the gears, they weren't as hard as I thought. Alot easier with the lift. Didn't have to drop the front diff, it cleared enough to get out the carrier. And now she really moves good.

I think I am done now....

yeah right a REAL TRUCK is never done.

hey tonka I have seen your truck several times also nice

Wow, nice truck.

You installed your gears yourself? What tools are needed? Is this your first gear install.

Thanks

between be and a friend maybe 50 sets and he has most of the tools like some dial gauge to measure pinion depth. But they are rather simple just a little mechanical know how and common sense

WOW! That thing is f'in huge!

Besides looking bad-a$$, another nice thing about getting your truck that high is that it becomes fat chick proof.

Hmmm...now why isn't mine that high?

I actually really like them they aren't as noisy as I thought and I have yet to notice those flat spots associated with bias ply tires and they are CHEAP I paid around $290 already shipped which was almost half of other tires this big. They also look so agressive They are GREAT

So, if you had never installed any gears before, would you have tried your first gear install on your truck? Also how long was the install?

Thanks

Nice looking truck. Cant wait to get back home and see on the streets. Also lifting and regearing as soon as I get back. My truck is the same colors as yours but its a scab. Going with the 6" so its gonna look like your minnie me. Should get together like Tonka said.
