body lift

hey the guys at my local shop said that body lifts are a ton of labor ($$$) to put on. they siad they would have to remove the whole interior and a lot of other stuff just to get the body lift on. i have an 01 F150 supercrew 4x4. i really want 37x13.50xR16/R17 tires but ive only found 6" lift kits for the 01. i found an 8" "straight axle conversion" (have no idea what that is) by Fabritech (yes, fabritech...http://www.ntwonline.com/acb/showdet...=1528&CATID=12) but i'm not sure about that one. so what do you guys think of 6" Fabtech lift kit w/ 2" lift vs. 8" Fabritech straight axle conversion and no body lift?

Go with a 6" fabtech lift and a 3" pa body lift. then you can run 37's or 38's

the body lift is a pretty easy install, I did it by myself in a day

I agree, I'd add a 3 inch Performance Accessories body lift. They are not that hard to install, but it is tedious because of all the small steps involved. That is why shops charge so much. They just take a long time to install.

No, only pull up the corners of the carpet, and take out the rear seat
