Big Ol Lift

Hi, I'm looking at a 12" Suspension lift for my truck. What size tires do you think will fit under it, i need width too. I got 235/70R16s on my truck rite now. I think i should take it to the shop and see if the truck is in the condition to git that kind of lift first

What brand kit are you looking at? Full Throttle? Whiplash? Bulletproof? Several members here and at FTW have fit 38x15.50's using a 6 inch suspension and a 3 inch body lift.

i have a 98 2wd F150 XLT. The lift is a bulletproof suspension lift. I was lookin in the latest issue of Truckin' magazine and saw ther advertisement in there. So 38's then? and what size rim would look good with that? 17's, 16's?

This may be what i end up doin since i cant afford a stroker and the only gas trucks i like are ovals, this is what it will be and i want something big. where will i be able to find differential gears for the truck?

I didn't realize you had a 4x2. That would be about the same height as the 4x4's with 9 inches of lift. (4x4's sit about 3 inches taller than 4x2's) I'd go with 37's or 38's on a 18 or 20 inch wheel personally, but that is strictly a matter of personal preference.

You can actually throw a lift spindle on top of that Bulletproof kit to make it a full 16" and run 40s. Thats what im running on my truck right now. Im running 5.13 gears with a 4.6 and it seems to be working pretty good. Where are you getting the lift done at? Im bout 6-7" taller than a 4x4 with a 6" suspension and 3" body lift on 38s.

thanks for those pics, its just gettin me more excited to buy this lift. as of right now i don't know where I will be getting the lift done at if i buy it. I think there is a custom shop in Delaware called Trick Trucks and I might take it there. My biggest problem will be finding the lift to buy, the closest distributer is in NJ, about 100 or more miles away. I'm also going to need one of my buddies to fab me a bumper because the truck will be way over legal height w/o a bigger bumper. thanks for your help.

hey memo, how much did that lift cost you? i havent found the price for it anywhere

Are those trucks 4x4 or 4x2? Besides having that "pre-runner" look, they look sweet!

To the original poster....are you getting a custom lift, cause I know they don't make kits that high (12") for a 4x2?

Needs AAL or bigger blocks in the rear, unless he likes that look...a lot of trucks out here in Cali are like that.

bulletproof suspensions, i think they just came out with it? lift wont be goin on for awhile though b/c i know i wont have enough money. still in high school so this goal will cause long summer hours and long weekends. it will be worth it though when i win biggest and baddest at the homecoming week car show
