help with what I need

ok heres the deal. in the next couple months I want to lift my truck. I want to be able to easily clear 37-13.5-20 Nitto Mud Grapplers without triming. My truck is a 2007 F-150 Lariat 4X4. I will also be doing the install myself. Right now I am considering either the Rize 8 in. or the CST 8 in. My question is which one is easier to install? (I dont want to have to cut anything) Also am I going to need anything other than the basic kit to clear those tiree? Do I need a leveling kit and add a leaf on top of the basic kit? i was also hoping to get some help with my wheel choises. I am looking at the KMC XD Rockstars in 20X10

or the ION Type 185 in 20X9

Is there any advantage to the 10' wide wheel as aposed to the 9"?

Thanks in advance for any help i get on this.

I just did 37" **** Cepek FCIIs with a 6" lift on the DC-1 wheels. If you tucked the tires at all at partial turn, it would hit at the body seam in the back of the wheel well. An 8" lift will likely have the same problem, just need to tuck it more to make contact. If you are wheeling it, it would be an issue. If you are a road warrior, probably not a huge issue. In the end, 6" lift with a 3" body lift will give you the same look and assure you won't make contact.

Whether on not you have to trim will depend on the backspacing of the wheels.

The XD rockstars are
20X10
24MM offset
4.56 backspacing

I am having some trouble finding the info on the IONs but I will make some calls and see if I can find the info. I am leaning to the Rockstars anyway but the IONs are a bit less expensive.

Yep, u will have to cut the driver side rear support to let the diff drop... Don't know of away around this when u add a lift.

I believe u will rub in sharp turns with 4.56" of BS.

Bigger lift or smaller tires - with the 10" wheel and low offset, you are guaranteed to rub, from about 1/2 to lock. Even with a bigger lift, if you wheel they'll hit.

Look here in the classifieds, u can find some get deals on use spacers or u could always buy new one, like autospring.

About the rear, I know with Fabtech without a AAL u are about 1" lower in the rear, so if you add say a 2" spacer you will be about 3" lower in the rear without a AAL. I would get the 4" AAL (I believe Skyjacker makes one) if that was the road u wanted to take.
