Absolutely no rubbing

Smokestone-
What is the distance between your front tires and the wheel well at the rear and bumper at the front? Looks to be at least 2" or maybe even 2.5". I looked through your gallery pics and it looks like alot of room. I've been wanting to get the biggest I can on mine with a 2.5" and stock rims, so am curious. Thanks.

It is right at 2.5" to the bumper and 2.5" to the flare on the back of the front wheel. I think this is probably the biggest you can go with aftermarket rims (315/70r17on 17x8 5.5"bs). Some guys here run 35x12.5 on stockers.

This past week I saw a 2006 4x4 with 35x12.5s mounted on the stock wheels. The owner claimed he had no lift in it at all, just a 2.5" level kit (I think it was a Dynastar). I really liked the aggressive stance of the truck and the fact that it didn't sit too high.
I want the tires to fit inside the wheel wells, as much as possible. I am not looking for a lot of lift, and don't want the truck to ride above the tires. It is a 4X2 and I am not going off road with it, so I want it to retain a street look, rather than an off-road look. But I do like the larger tires.
If raising the truck enough to accomodate 35s is too expensive, I'll just go with 33s and call it done.
But just out of curiosity, what should I expect to pay for a 6" lift (installed)? Or the 3" Performance Accessories body lift Wandell mentioned?
By the way, what is the backspacing on the stock wheels? Smokestone, I really like your truck's stance, but I don't think I can go to 315s on the stock wheel without rubbing. I am pretty sure that P295/70R17 is as big as you can go on the stock wheel.
