That NCD long travel kit is sweet! Too bad the price isn't, around 5 grand before shocks!

To add another comment about the price of the long travel kit, it is probbably some of the best if not the best engineering of a suspension system specifically designed for offroad use. The price doesn't look too bad considering what you are getting. Check out those lower control arms, sick! I wish I could afford it. http://www.ncdcustoms.com

2.5" Daystar leveling kit. 17 x 8 with 5.5" backspace 315/70r17
Absolutely no rubbing

Smokestone-

What is the distance between your front tires and the wheel well at the rear and bumper at the front? Looks to be at least 2" or maybe even 2.5". I looked through your gallery pics and it looks like alot of room. I've been wanting to get the biggest I can on mine with a 2.5" and stock rims, so am curious. Thanks.

It is right at 2.5" to the bumper and 2.5" to the flare on the back of the front wheel. I think this is probably the biggest you can go with aftermarket rims (315/70r17on 17x8 5.5"bs). Some guys here run 35x12.5 on stockers.

Thanks! Did you have to trim a little anywhere (front valance, etc.)?

I have a 6" on my 4x2 and 35's wont even fit. I rub with the 33's. It's the offset on my rims, but 35's can fit easy on oem wheels and a level

Question

This past week I saw a 2006 4x4 with 35x12.5s mounted on the stock wheels. The owner claimed he had no lift in it at all, just a 2.5" level kit (I think it was a Dynastar). I really liked the aggressive stance of the truck and the fact that it didn't sit too high.

I want the tires to fit inside the wheel wells, as much as possible. I am not looking for a lot of lift, and don't want the truck to ride above the tires. It is a 4X2 and I am not going off road with it, so I want it to retain a street look, rather than an off-road look. But I do like the larger tires.

If raising the truck enough to accomodate 35s is too expensive, I'll just go with 33s and call it done.

But just out of curiosity, what should I expect to pay for a 6" lift (installed)? Or the 3" Performance Accessories body lift Wandell mentioned?

By the way, what is the backspacing on the stock wheels? Smokestone, I really like your truck's stance, but I don't think I can go to 315s on the stock wheel without rubbing. I am pretty sure that P295/70R17 is as big as you can go on the stock wheel.

What is your rim offset? I have 20x9 w/35" tires (6" lift on 4x2) with no rubbing at all.

It's weird. i ordered +30mm, which shoult tuck the wheels farther under the wheel well. I don't know what happened, maybe the sales person messed up, but my wheels sick out real far, and i can't clear 35's.
