my truck is leaning...

Is it a 4x4 or 4x2? If it's a 4x4, I had the same problem on my 2000 Scab. I cranked the torsion bar up on whichever side it is leaning on to level it out with the other side. I'm not sure if the shocks have anything to do with it but my shocks were worn out also in the front. So I replaced those as well. I got an alignment after I cranked the torsion bar on the one side and with the new shocks, problem was solved.
Again, this is only from a 4x4 perspective so if you have a 4x2, you don't have torsion bars and may have to look at an alternative method. I'm sure someone else will chime in with some help also. Good luck.

i believe the gas tank reference meant that over time, the weight that is constantly in the gas tank on a daily basis causes the leaf springs to wear a bit unevenly...my truck also leans 2001 supercrew 4x4....im seriously considering some new leaf packs, new torsion bars, and new shocks all around, and maybe new set of poly bushings on all body mounts to see if this will remedy the lean

i would find a local suspension shop and see about having new spring packs made specific for your truck. they could possibly even rearch your stock ones but that will not last long, they eventually sag bag to the original condition...try offroad shops and custom truck shops, they can probably give you someone in the area who works with leaf springs and such
