Broken axle housing???

I noticed an oil leak under my 01 f150, 4.6L. Afeter a closer look i realised the front axle housing was cracked in half right by the diff and is leaking oil. Everything is just hangin there barely...I have a levelling lift with new front axles which would bind a little bit when the suspension bottomed out..What should i do, apparently the only way to get a new axle housing is second hand...
Has this happened to anyone else? How much does it cost is it complicated to do myself.. I dont think i have hit any rocks or anything, could the binding of the front axles have anything to do with this?? any help please......

Axle housings usually break from air time - or more accurately hard landings. It's an easy swap out that most shade tree mechanics can handle.

Ok, yea i found a used axle housing at a wrecking yard for 177 bucks, the only thing is do i have to put new oil in the diff after its done, and before i can pull the housing away from the diff, i have to pull the inner axle shaft out first right??

gotta pull the shafts outta the carrier first. which would mean the spider gears or clutch pack needs to be removed to get to the c clips.
