6" Lift install & Re-balancing driveshaft????

Those with a 6" lift on there new body F150, did you have to "REMOVE" the keyed portion of the spline on the drive shaft and then rebalance the driveshaft.

The "SUPERLIFT" install instructions state (Eliminating the driveshaft spline ) the spline on the drive shaft that is closed needs to be open using a file or cut off wheel, then a re-balancing of the driveshaft needs to be done to prevent "VIBRATION" when activating 4 X 4 mode.

So has anyone not filed the spline or not rebalanced the driveshaft?? do you get vibration when in 4 X 4 mode ??

I'm wondering why you would need to? The only thing that was altered was the angle on the u-joint. In my case the instructions for the lift even go so far as to have you mark the driveshaft and front yoke so they go back together in the same position. My 4x4 still works just fine.

Because if you don't than you'll have a vibration in 4x4. It's always best to mark driveshafts so they go in the same way as they come out.
