A 2nd person is the best thing, if not use some vice grips

front bumper help

has anyone used this kit on a '97? The kit only comes with two front mounting brackets that I am assuming are for a different year truck with a bumper that mounts with only 4 bolts, 2 on each side. At least thats what the instructions seem to indicate. My bumper however, mounts with 8 bolts, 4 on each side and therefore I am assuming I have to order two more brackets and drill some holes in the frame / bumper support?

thanks

got a hold of someone and they are sending me two more brackets, evidently ford put some of the 97 bumpers on differently than others...

Well another evening of fighting with this lift. I still have not got the steering extension on, i called the tech line and he said that it could be a ford problem? He said he would send me another one out. Has anyone else had this trouble?

I drilled holes in the crush block to mount them instead of welding them.

Yeah, I had a friend that had problems with his steering shaft. He did a good bit of offroading and it sort of siezed up. After some penetrating oil and tapping, it finally started sliding.
