body lift???

I put the 6" fabtech lift on my truck a little over a month ago. In my opinion the 35" tires look just a bit tight in the wheel wells.

Is a body lift extremely labor intensive? What sizes are available for my '97 4WD? Would you advise 3" or maybe a bit higher (if there is a 4" or 5" available) I dont want to get larger tires and I am guessing that a 3" lift should cost me around $250 for the parts.

You can get a 3" PA Body Lift Kit for about $180 at suspension connection.
the body lift is labor intensive but for around $1000 you can get it installed if not less.

They are not hard to install, they are just time consuming, tedious work. That's why shops charge so much. Also, 3 inches is as tall as you can go with a body lift.

Looks great the way it is
I myself think the 35's will look to small if you add the 3 inch BL!!

If you put a 3inch body lift, i would be getting 37s. Which will lead to regearing.

35's should be fine on there. You may want to check your torsion bolts because they probably have some adjustment left in them and you can get at least an inch for free and it takes less than five minutes to do.

They will look fine, but not good, great, or awesome. Which is what everybody wants to hear.

maybe cranking the torsion bars and adding a rear leaf would give me a little extra lift without breaking the bank?

If I crank the torsion bars, does that automatically mean I have to do another alignment?

If you carnk the torsion bars keep in mind the most you can get out it is 1.5". You can go to 2" you need to get an adjustable camber kit (don't recommend it).You need to look at how high you want to be at..........If the 1.5" doesn't do it for you then a body lift kit should be considered..........you need to get an alignment if you crank your torsion.

I was just reviewing the PA 3" body lift install instructions...I would be doing the install myself. I consider myself easily qualified to do the work myself- but as I am going through the steps....man I am already sweating. Im not sure I want to mess with my truck this much!

If I was doing it to someone elses ride, it wouldnt be so nerve racking

Body Lifts are labor intensive.......It can be done........usually removing the bolts gives you the trouble.......it depend on how much you want it.......thats the driving force behind it all.........you can crank the torsion 1.5", lift the back and go get an alignment.
