not to be a dink, but why would anyone just install a body lift on there truck? you can get a leveling kit for $100 bucks plus they're fairly simple to install and yield almost the same amount of lift, or you can add the add a leaf in the back and your still cheaper than a body lift. its your truck bud, but i'm just curious as to why you'd go with a body lift. i mean if you got a 6 inch already and wanna run 37''s+ plus fine go for it, but to each his own i reckon.

Well i have a 2.5 AS in the front and im going to get a 3" block for the back plus the 3" BL will give me 5.5" of lift in the front and 6" in the back so i my book for $500 i have gotten a 5.5-6" lift. I dont have 1500+ for a suspension lift i'm only 17. sorry and once i get the BL done please dont leave any comments on how goofy it looks. keep them to yourself unless you wanna fund my truck.

Thanks,
Trent

mmkay thanks (by the way, its you're, not your)
Keith i know you LOVE your body lift, its looks fine, they look good on the 97-03 models. have you ever seen one on a 04+? the back end sits up incredibly higher then the front, it looks VERY strange. it can be fixed with a spacer, but if your read the original post, he asked for it without any suspension modifications. please don't post unless you've actually seen the result, and don't call me an idiot, because your wrong there too.

have a nice day

now, back on track...

daculatruck50, here is a picture of a 2004 F150 with just a PA 3" body lift, no other mods...

see how the frame sits pretty low? you cant see the trailer hitch but it is also sitting a lot lower then the body of the truck. the back end is also a lot higher then the front (but can be cured by a spacer). i just dont think it looks very good on our trucks. if you want a lift but not a really big one, maybe consider this:

it is a rancho 4" suspension lift, excellent ride quality and offroad use, you get all new shocks too. i think it looks a lot better. up to you though man.

if you do go with the body lift, dont get the rear blocks. keep the spacer and add the body lift, so that way your truck will look level. when you add bigger tires, its looks a TON better if the truck is sitting level, most will agree with that, and it wont look goofy at all, should look good. thats what ***PAT*** did and his truck looks good.

hope this helps.

They have the exact same stance as stock, just 3inches higher. He will probably level his truck anyway.

Thanks for all the help! ***Pat*** your truck looks really good. So you have a 2.5" spacer and a 1.5-2" AAL and a 3" BL and your truck is pretty much level. One question tho. Do you have the factory 1.5 block? i noticed your truck was a 4x4. Also is the ride any different with the BL or is it all stock just a little higher. Also to anyone this might sound dumb but my dad is agianst the whole lifting my truck because it is dangerous (roll-over, etc.). Is this a real concern with a 3" BL?

Thanks,
Trent K

ACTUALLY, this is where the body lift might HELP your argument with your dad. the body lift lifts your body off the frame, but the frame and engine stays where it is, keeping the center of gravity low. so your risk of rolling is actually lower with a body lift.
