The higher the backspace the less they will stick out. You can go up to 5.75" backspace according to the Superlift website. My wheels are 18x9 w/ about 5.5" backspace. 5 3/8" to be exact. I wouldn't go any less than 5.5". My only regret is not getting 35" tires. 33's look fine, but 35's would look perfect. I was afraid to get 35's because I didn't want to regear or re-tune my new truck. Now that my truck is almost 3 years old, I wish I would have gotten 35's. I still have full tread on my 33's so it will be a long time before I get new tires. Hope this helps.

There are a few members here with Superlift. More with Rancho. I cannot comment on any other lifts since this is my first. I believe each lift has it's positives and negatives.
I chose my lift because it does not increase front track width, uses an add a leaf instead of blocks, and has a skid plate that spans the length and widith of the crossmembers. You just have to get as much information as you can and decide which lift best suits your tastes. This video helped me alot.

How is changing the oil with this lift? It looks like the skid plate and the other large bracket would get in the way of both the oil drain and the oil filter. I know when I do my oil the oil from the filter drips all over as it is already, I can't imagine how it is now with that other bracket from SuperLift...THANKS

I really couldn't say because I always get my oil changed at Ford. I know that the drain for the oil pan is behind the skid plate so that is not a problem.
As for the filter, I'm not sure. I never noticed any oil on the skid plate after an oil change. Hope this helps.
