coil overs

coil overs

ok so i dont want to drop the cash on the kings just yet so i though of going with some bilstens for a 6in kit cranking them up 2ins, then trowing my leveling kit on top of that... would that be a good or bad idea

Would be a waste of money. You would be getting the same amount of lift, or less. Don't know what your running now. The bilstein that come with the RCD kit are 4-6 inches. They aren't 6 inches and can be adjusted.

Save your $$$ and do it right the first time...Wait for the Kings or Donahoe.

the bilsteins are going to do the same as the leveling kit. and if you had the bilsteins cranked and threw another spacer ontop of the coilover, you wouldnt be able to get the UCA bolted back onto the spindle. go with just the bilsteins and adjust the preload on them. watch the angle on your UCA though, that will be the one component mostly affected tryin to get those extra 2"s.

No he's got the Rize 8" .. so his UCAs would be able to work. He's got the right concept .. except the Bilsteins are actually only 4.5" lift and are adjustable for 6" of lift. So he'd need another 4" of lift to do what he wants.

ya i just didnt want to spend 1600, though a coil over for a 6in kit cranked up plus the spacer i have would do the same thing unless theres a cheaper 8in coil over
