33" tires

If I have a 2001 4X2 what do I need to put on it to be able to fit 33" tires? And what is the tire ratio of a 33" tire?

Body lifts are cheap. Are you handy with trucks? Could you install yourself?

i have a 2wd truck with a 3 inch body and 285/75....you will need a 3 inch body and run you like 500-650. i also put some 16x10s on mine which look nice. the tires looked skinny on my stock wheels

a coil spacer might work but probably a spindle lift will be best. throw in a 2"block in the rear and u have a 4x4 height truck for around 300-350$. 285/75/16 is a 33" or 285/70/17

I am going to install it myself. But I saw some pics of a 2WD with a 3" lift and 33" tires and there really wasnt enough space between the fenders and the tires and it look crammed in there. Thats why I was wanting to put on something to give it a couple more inches of lift. Something cheap too lol Where do you find spindle lifts for $350?

would putting on a 3" body lift and 2.5" leveling kit work and look good? Even if it is 2WD?

How many total inches of lift would that be? And does anybody know if sport models sit lower than the regular xlt's.

No, the Sport model sits at the same height as the other 4x2's.

Well is what I dont understand about the leveling kits is that it says it only lifts the front end of the vehicle to make it level. But my 2001 already looks level to me, so if I were to lift the front up, wouldn't it then make it not level?

Your truck may appear to be level stock, but it should be sitting lower in the front. Your leveling kit will level and you body lift will lift ya to fit 33's quite nicely.
