2" Autospring Leveling Kit Problems

Last weekend I installed a 2" leveling kit on my 07 4x4 supercrew. After install I noticed that the front seemed to be sitting a little higher than the rear, but I figured it was just me since I did the install myself. Today I put a tape measure to the top of the rim to the top of the peak of the fender and im sitting 1" higher in the front. I did get the alignment done the day I installed the kit. Any thoughts on why its sitting higher in the front would be great!! Thanks in advance for any help!!

If you would have measured before installing the 2" kit, you would of probably found that your 2007 is only 1.5" lower in the front (The late 2006 and newer trucks do not have as much rake as the 2004-early 2006 trucks). A 2" kit will lift the front 2"-2.5" and a 2.5" will lift you 2.5"-3" so that is what happened.

Atleast this was the case with mine which caused me to go with the 2.5" kit and a 1.5" AAL in the rear for my truck, as even if it looked dead level, knowing that it may have been .25" higher in the front would drive me nuts. That and the fact that I was able to fit 35's with the 2.5".

Thanks! What brand of AAL did you go with and did you install it yourself?

Just ordered a 1.5 AAL kit from 4wheelparts on Brookpark rd for 89.99. They want 140.00 for the install. Thank you again for the help! I was just worried that I did something wrong installing the front leveling kit myself. I think im gonna pay the 140.00 for the ALL.

I did the AAL also. It helps quite a bit. The problem is you keep wanting more lift.

I have the Autospring AAL and the install was very easy.

You would be crazy to pay $140 to have someone install an AAL. All you do is take off the U-bolts that hold the axle to the springs, remove the block, unbolt the rear leaf springs, add the leaf, rebolt using the longer supplied bolts, and put it all back together. It should take no more than 45 minutes for both sides.

I called them and ordered springs for about 2.25" of lift. Ended up getting close to 3", but I love the look. It's just slightly taller in the back. Hasn't affected ride quality at all. I'll find out tomorrow if I gained any towing benefits when I haul my girlfriend's car home.

ameration - I want your wheels...
