How much did the gears cost you. What brand did u get? what did they do to your gas mileage?

I got mine done for $1350.00, don’t remember what kind they are..... As for the mpg, I never really drove the truck stock. But with the 35's and the 3:55 gears I got 11 mpg. After the gears and superchips I still get 11mpg, 9 pulling the toybox. I did get 13 on a road trip once "no toybox". And now I don't feel like I'm in second trying to take off. Plus 4x4 low is really low now, before I had to ride the brake in the real hard stuff. 75mph is like 22 maybe 23rpm on OD. 60 in 3rd is 2800 for sure.

Let me put it to you this way. When I got my truck me and my wife raced from a red light "1997 Explorer V6 4.0" She got a fender on me all the way to 60. After I got the gears.......I am a truck out in front before the crosswalk and pulling her hard

For 37's or 38's you would want 4:88's to get back to stock RPM vs MPH. There to deep for 35's.

true.. if you want "stock" go with the 4:56's but if your putting that much money into your rig, why not go more then stock ? Why not get more torque out of it while your down there ? I dunno, maybe just my take on it. No doubt about it, i will be running 4:88's .

MyToy

3 inch body superlift and 35" X-terrains. I wanna do gears to, but I think it's gonna be motor first.

Hey glasco I cranked the torsion bars up almost all the way because I was having a little bit of rubbing on the passenger side when I would back up and on the back I found these leaf spring helpers called roadmaster active suspension http://www.activesuspension.com/ its supposed to help with towing or carrying a heavy load but I got them mainly to raise the back a little bit probably about an inch or so, they work pretty good when towing too I want to get either a 6" or 4" suspension lift on top of the body lift when I get enough money
