What is this? My dad told me it was a sway bar link. Where would i be able to get another?

Also, truck is a '97 f-150 4x4 with 4" Rancho lift and 3" body.

You should be able to get them at your local parts store. It would be a good idea to replace the link on the other end also.

I wouldn't think so, the kit had to relocate it somehow

The thing I would say to be cautious of that you do have a life. Most of the lifts for our trucks (97-03) don't relocate the swaybar...Most provide a longer end link like the one you are need to replace. I tried looking at Rancho's and 4 wheel parts sites and can't if one is included in the kit or not, but most likely there is one. I know fabtech's kit gives you new ones. So prob the best be would be to shoot off an email to Rancho and see if your kit does have longer end links and if you are able to get one from them. Most likely the OEM ones will be too short due to the lift. Hoped I helped some.

Like everyone stated it is the sway bar end link... im not sure but it seems like everyones goes out! if you can find one that will fit you can go to an auto parts store and get a set then take it to a machine stop and see what they will charge you to fab up 2 to the lenght you need then use the bushings, washers and nuts to put them on? ive changed them in 2 of my vehicles, they are very simple and basic principal.

take out the one on the other side and take it with you to the parts store, chances are since you have a lift kit then the links you got are longer and if so the parts store might be able to find one close to that size.
