i cant decide if i should put my steps back on my truck or not...im afraid it will make it look like it will sit lower...if you have any pics of your truck with a 6 inch lift with the steps stil on, i would greatly appreciate it

Also, if you ever go offroading they protect your truck. Id much rather mess up my nerf bars than my door panel. Plus my wife is 5'2" and she won't let me take them off.

my girlfriend isnt much taller than that and she bitches at me all the time about takin the steps off. I told her to get over it, its my truck, i paid for it, and if she doesnt like it, then she can drive.

I agree w/ Keith and Big they are great for protection and keeping the piece with the wife/girlfriend(whatever you may or may not have), but on the other hand if you don't need them to get up there and prefer the visual of extra couple of extra inches leave 'em off. Mechanically you won't lose any clearance your frame is lower or about the same height neways.

I have them on mine for 2 reasons:

1. Short wife (5'2")
2. Body Lift (they hide the frame pretty good)

If I was single and had a suspension lift though, they'd be off... Although I did tear up a nerf bar pretty good off roading one time on my old Yukon, so I definately see their benefit.

No bars gives the illusion of more height but like everyone keeps saying they provide protection and accessability. So that is the question. Fashion or Function?........or just get the amp power steps!

Mine have taking a BEATING! I have gone through 2 seperate mounting brackets for each side. The tubes are just fine ! Shine em up and they look like new. I am not a big fan of the "look" but the protection they provide me is just such a big factor for me, I opted for em. The N-Fab steps look pretty sweet, just not sure about the "protection" thye offer. They seem awfully close to the cab. And finally the power steps. Those thing looks AMAZING, but to me the scream "Pavement Pounder". Its just something else to break and go wrong. I can't imagine them doing to many water crossings or holding up to a 7,000 lbs truck sitting on them ! just my 2 cents.
