tires, shocks, body lift questons

I have a 2 wheel drive with the 5 spoke rims that have the chrome hub cap. Now I am planning on getting the AS leveling kit with 285/70-17s. I was also thinking about getting a set of procomp es9000 shocks and a 3" body lift. Would that set up work? will the tires fit on my rims with no problems? If I went with new wheels also would a 4.5 backspacing work? Planning on getting this stuff soon so any help asap would be great. thanks in advance!!

Yes, that would work fine. You could even go to a larger tire if you get the body lift. As for the backspacing question, that will depend on the width of the wheel also. How wide are they?

well the wheels i was just looking at were 17x8. What size can I go with on the stock rim? I was going to stay with the stock rims because I just don't know if I want to spend all that money on aftermarket wheels unless I could find a really good deal.

With a body lift and a leveling kit on a 4x2, you could fit up to a 315/70-17 (35x12.50) using the oem 17x7.5 inch wheels. With a wider aftermarket wheel with less backspacing, I'd stick with something slightly smaller like a 305/65-17(33x12.50) or a 295/70-17 (34x12.00) or a 305/70-17 (34x12.50).
