lift and tires

I need some direction on what to do and if it will fit, I already have a 3" body lift and I would like to put on either a 6" fabtech or a 4-6" rcd lift, right now I have 35x12x50 toyos but I need all you all to tell me if super swamper radials in 38x15-50xR16 on 16x10wheels will fit and how much it will rub if it will fit, one more thing what brand of gears in 4.88 ratio? hope this is enough info and thanks you guys are smarter than me about this stuff

1999 f150 5.4 4wd 3.73LS gears right now

If you add a 6 inch Fabtech lift, you could fit 38x15.50's but it would be real tight. I'd go with something slightly smaller.

My buddy had the same set-up with the torsion bars cranked a little bit and was clearing 39.5 Boggers" with some trimming.

Thanks Wandell and Thumper, I think I have decided on Super Swamper Bias IROK Tire in 37X14/R16 on 16X10 **** Cepek DC-1 chrome wheels and the 6" fabtech suspension lift but will 4.5" backspacing be enough for those tires?now just need to get a quote from a local shop called Galloways 4wd to see how much all this will run me. and once again I appreciate the input its good to talk to people who knows what their talking about

I wouldn't go with any bias ply tire if I was you.

X2.. Unless it's a trailer queen that ONLY sees the dirt. Bias tires aren't much fun on the street.

Thanks guys this is what I need is some feedback on what I should do,

what would be a good tire in either a 37 or 38" tire?

also I dont know what width I should go with on a 10" wheel I would like as wide and agressive tire as possible, let me know what you think would be a good width

I am thinking about just getting the 6" lift and wearing down the 35s I have now because I`ve only had them on about 3 months so they still have a lot of tread on them

I still cant decide what to do about tires I really want super swamper tires but I do a good bit of highway driving probably 70% is on the road 30% off road but I only put 25000 miles on my truck last year so if one set of tires would last me one whole year i would be satisfied with that. again thanks for the help from all of you who have responded it is greatly appreciated!

id go with mickey thompson baja claws, pro comp X Terrains, or the Super Swamper Irok Radial...the radial Iroks should last a year, depending on how you drive...

but if you do Mickey Thompson- Baja Claws look sweet on Fords

and i got a buddy with a 2WD with 37" X Terrains with 20" rims, and it looks badass, even if he didnt have the rims it would look good to..

im not sure on sizes but check out BFG's KM2... and if you really want to buy a bias tire ive been reading very good reviews from the Pitbull Maddog, Wolf17 (i think thats the name) has these on his truck and loves them!

Toyo has a M/T that's 38x14.5x16, and it's relatively cheap if you know where to look online.

I believe it's about 15.50 inches wide, so it would be considered a 38x15.50-16.

Thanks Wandell, your like the tire and wheel King for f150s!...

I think im going to get the 6" lift first, then gears, then tires and wheels I think this is in the right order.

Here is a picture of what my truck would look like with 9" of lift on 35" toyos, it is called REAL photoshoping! if you look close the passenger side wheel is off the ground, i took the drivers side front wheel off and jacked the back and front up to where they were sitting level because I wanted to see what it would look like with smaller tires on.

that looks good. If your getting new wheels and tires, if your interested I would buy the other set off you?
