question about my liariat and ride quality

I have a 2006 Liarat 4x4. Is if just me or is this truck supposed to ride like a lumber wagon. Now, i know this is a truck but i bounce all over the road. i can feel every bump. Dealer says this is normal due to the one piece box frame. I even see the bed vibrate when hitting bumps. I feel alot of "play" in the steering column as well going over ice heaves in the road.

I am not complaining just want to make sure this is normal. i have 800 miles before end of warranty and am just looking for opinions. I do NOT have the rancho shocks.

What's a liariat? Do you mean Lariat? It's fine with stock shocks.

PS: No one has Rancho shocks, stock.

Correct the previous generation F150s had Ranchos that were valved to Ford's spec. I'd pony up the money and buy a set of Bilstein 5100s, problem solved. Not to mention they'll last longer than stock. I know that's not what you want to hear but it is what it is.

My Lariat rode like you were floating on a cloud when it was new, but that is in comparison to a 91 ranger.

Check your air pressure in your tires. Also, if a helper spring was put on the back then your truck will beat you to death.

Helper spring? Do you mean add-a-leaf? If so, not true. I've had an add-a-leaf on two vehicles among countless other friends with no problems. It's when you get into someone bending the wrong arch that you have problems, a thing of the past for the most part.

Tire pressure can make a huge difference in ride quality.
