ride quality.....?

I have an 04 FX4 with 85000 miles. It has sh*tty 35" hankooks on it and a
2.5" leveling kit. Just wondering if the kit makes the ride stiff or is it the tires or a combination. Will better tires and possibly less aggressive help? I realize the fords have a stiffer ride but mine seems a lil more than average. I am coming from a Z71 which i found has a more car like ride and I may just need to get adjusted from one to the other.
Thanks!!!!!!!!

Check the air pressure in your tires first. That makes a huge difference in ride quality. I wouldn't go below 35 psi.

Wandell's right. Air pressure is key. The next thing to check is the load range on the tires. E's are going to be stiff, while C's (closer to factory specs) will be more "car-like."

I've always had good luck with 40 psi. Like I said, I would not go below 35 psi for daily driving.

They were set to 40psi, I put them at 36-37psi. And they are E rated.
