2008 Level Kits for FX4**Suggestions**

I am sure somebody has done one of these recently, What brands do you guys suggest , as well as size for an 08 Screw FX4, I would like to level it as well as add a block in the back...I do not know enough about these kits ( although they seem quite simple ) to be comfortable just buying one on-line..

If I level it in the front ..what size block should I use in the rear..thanks for the help ..

I'd recommend the 2.5 inch Autospring leveling kit. As for the rear, I'd replace the OEM 2 inch lift block with a taller one depending on how tall you want the rear.

just get the 2.5" autospring up front and remove the oem 2" block and replace it with a 3" block

Im in a similar situation as RPM. My only difference is I want to readily swap out the kit if I ever need to take it in for warranty work.

I see most agree on the AS. How do guys feel the AS compares to the adjustable Bilsteins or the Rancho Ready lift? Not sure about RPM but mine will see as much desert and trail use a leveled F150 can handle.

Note- Hopefully not considered a threadjack. Figured its along the same lines so why not jump in. Hopefully the answers will also help RPM.

one more....

If someone were to remove their AS and take the truck in for warranty work, would the service tech see any evidence of the AS install. If this were the case woud it be better to install a replacement strut system.

I don't think there will be warranty issues with a level kit / I am trying to circumvent that personally by having my dealer include it in my deal...I am asking them to install an AS 2.5 and a 3" block in the rear, just like someone in this thread suggested earlier...so I will keep you posted..they are doing it for $595, probably could get it done cheaper , but the dealer will stand behind their work , so maybe consider this before you go ahead and level it .. let me know how your project is going and I can't wit to share mine with everyone ,,,

Actually I was at the dealer today signing a deal for a full lift, tire and wheel package with full dealer warranty. Apparently the fleet guys dont communicate with the service dept because the service manager told me the warranty would be void as soon as all was installed. So screw em ...Im installing a 2" AS with 285/70R17 BFG's. If I have a warranty issue I will pull the puck and put the stock wheels and tires back on.

Ordering the AS tonight and going to America's Tire tomorrow. I will post up some pics when Im done. If not this weekend then by next weekend for sure.

Good luck on yours.

Whats the reasoning for adding another 1" to the back? Is that simply to negate a nose up stance when towing/hauling something? Its my understanding (I dont even have an F150 yet) that the rear is 3" taller than the front stock, so wouldnt a 2.5" kit still leave a .5" rake?

I ended up ordering 295 Nittos on 17 x 8.5 rims. Will post some pics when everything arrives and I get it installed. Hopefully Monday
