Leveling Kit For A 2WD '04 Regular Cab

I've read extensively through the posts here, but am still unsure whether or not I should go with a 2.5" or 3.0" leveling kit. I have read that the rear end of the '04's sit up a little higher in the rear (at least opposed to the '06/'07's), so maybe I should go with the extra 1/2"? Also, if I decide on the 2.5" route, what are the biggest tires that I can put on my ride without mucking things up? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I would not go with a 3 inch kit. Most everyone agrees the 3 inch kits put the ball joints at too severe of an angle to last. I'd go with a 2 or 2.5 inch kit. You should be able to fit 33's unless you go with a wide wheel or one with shallow backspacing.
