There's a guy I work with that has that setup. It runs ok, but it's kinda sluggish. You could definitely get away with it though.

So where abouts in Katy do you live bro? I should have gotta your phone number so we could meet up at that little truck show.

I have 35's and 3.55 gears. The power is ok, but nothing to brag about. It is livable for me because I don't tow/haul heavy loads. If I did, I would have stuck with 33's. However, the 04-08's have 40 more hp than my 01 so it shouldn't be as bad.

Definitely go with a 6" Lift. We just got a 6" Pro Comp lift with 35s and its awesome. I did notice a loss in power due to the larger rims and tires, the speedometer is 5mph off, so a tuner will correct that. I will be getting gears shortly to help bring back that low end torque but i can live with it since i only drive it locally to work and back.

definately going with the 6 inch but that helps with the gear info because i'm not a huge fan of programmers since they can do so much damage to a transmission. I haul about two thousand pounds in trailer weight once in a while with my drift boat but that should be fine on the highway. anyone have performance issues with 3.73's and offroad?

my last ride was an 01 f350 and in the 3 years that i had it I went thoroug two transmissions. All were attested to the increase in horse power. The transmission is not supposed to handle that power without putting in stronger springs and better plates. I just figured that this could be a problem in the long run with the f150's since it is definately a problem with a bigger truck.
