I agree, while HID's are nice, I honestly can't stand them either and IMHO are overrated and overpriced and won't do anything a halogen bulb can't (if you can't see with halogens you're probably as blind as a bat and shouldn't be driving). Also, most people buy HID's that are in the 6000+K range and in snow, rain or fog doesn't exactly provide the type of lightning you're looking for and in most cases, would be worse then even the stock halogens. Nothing against HID's, they are impressive, but I just wouldn't ever buy them

Once they get to too high of a K value that they start to turn blue, they become worthless in weather. Two of my friends have 8000k in their chevy trucks and it sucks in the rain.

I run 6000k and have been through blizzard white-out conditions in the Cascade mountains, and the 6000k lit up everything, it was quite impressive. Our convoy of cars was the last let through that night before they closed the interstate, and the conditions were bad. They actually asked me to lead the convoy since my lighting was so good and i had 4x4 with chains on the front tires.

Most of my driving with this truck (in the dark) is out on backroads and country interstate before/after hunting for the most part, so i really have no problem running these lights.

However, i never run the fog HIDs unless i am offroad with no oncoming traffic. The fog housings are the ones that really blind people badly since there is nothing in front of the bulb. The headlight housings have the chrome piece in front, its really not that bad.

But like you said, different strokes for different folks. I personally cant live without them.

yea bro ur black kmc's with that midnight blue is a sweet setup. hey man check out my profile page and you'll see she does MORE than stretch her legs. but i started off with a simple 6 inch fabtech then got addicted and threw on a body lift and later went to the local ORC and they built custom length struts and lower control arms and spindles and then ran custom leafs on top of my 5 inch block. ill have her sittin on 49s one day. im kinda new to the site and no matter wat size pics i set as my sig it shows up the size of my thumb! how do yaw get ur sigs so much larger and sweet lookin?

she scared this van so bad it jumped on the dang trailer upside down lol (after 4 hours!)
