Holy Cow, I diff have found my spot to drool n spend some cash...
Well, I am the FNG here and I am glad that I found this site over the rest. The rest dont seem to get the attention this site does. If there is another site I should check out let me know.
I just got back for Afhganistan and the pile of bills have been paid for but a new pile has started but while there is some extra money floating around, I have talked the boss(wife) into letting me get my truck set up the way I want. So with roughly 5k at disposal I have been looking at 6 inch lifts n tire/rims to go with it. Of the tires will be 35, cant see going any bigger and keeping it on the road, going to need a ladder to get in anyway with that hieght.
I guess after reading and looking here, Pro Comp n BDS are the most popular ones around that I can afford that lasts n gives a good ride. I have to pick your brains because I dont know too many around here, of course even though its a military town, unless your born n raised in lousiana you are considered an outsider.
The local shop here(Barksdale AFB Bossier City LA) deals with BDS and actual had one jsut finished that I got to look at and I like very much. I havent seen Pro Comps up close so cant make a good call other than what has been said here. We have another shop here in town but felt unwelcomed and they were a bit rude when I stopped in so I flipped the bird and wont revist them again.
They next closet one I know of is in texarkana but I still have to see what they offer. I will be mainly on pavement with some mud n dirt, nothing extreme.
I am doing this updgrade mainly because I have always wanted a big truck not to make it a trail beast. If I want a trail only I would go back to jeeps, the places I took mine stock in NM was great but now being in LA i wont be rock crawling anytime soon.
I cant stop looking at all your posted picts, I guess I should say I have an 07 FX4 that is two tone silver n gray. Its served me well so far but its time to upgrade.
So with some that have been around, please let me know what rookie mistakes were made so I dont need to redo those but maybe create others.
Thanks for letting me join, hang out and cant wait to make a few friends.

That's a pretty good price, I'd say compare everything to 4wheelonline.com to make sure you're getting the best deals and the shop should price match them. Is that just for tires or is it wheel/tire combo?
