I am confused by this post....my 2006 crewcab truck with 22's and low profile tires gets 12.5mpg average. No heavy foot at all. With my winter tires (33's MT) on my stock 18" wheels I get 9MPG AVERAGE! All I have is intake and exhaust.

Here's my old truck, a 97 with a 4" Rancho sus lift, 3" body lift and 2 more inches in the front by way of 1-ton Chevy torsion bars. It had 39x15 MT's and 16.5x12 Weld rims, along with a custom shock hoop and a total of 14 shocks. I should never have sold it!
Anyway I now have an 03 2wd Lariat Screw, all stock but I hope to do a 6 inch lift and put some 35's on it around Christmas. I've never lifted a 2wd, can anyone recommend a brand name?

Those of you saying you got the same mileage on stock gears with 37+ tires, did you account for the fact that your speedo is off, and thus, your mileage/distance traveled reading is way off as well? I'm finding it a bit of a stretch that you pulled that sort of mileage on stock gearing with tires that big. I was getting around 8 or 9ish on average with 3.55 gears and 38's for the 2 weeks before I regeared. I was getting around 13mpg on 33's with a 6" lift, and I'm getting around 12 now with the 4.88s and 37's.
