Haha- well that's a good question...(chirp chirp) to which I have no reasonable answer. Actually, its probably not nearly that fast. But I do use 4HI alot in the winter. I'm just scared because of that damn footnote stating that vibration may occur and you need to buy Fabtech's cv axles (or whatever it is).

I did however get a quote on the lift and the steering stabilizers, Friday. I'm waiting on a quote for install.

Install yourself, saves you money, plus makes ya feel good. It is your truck, right ? It'll be a bonding experience, and you can get to know the truck a little better !

Yea Dump the 2-1/2" AS AS I have had 4 boots replaced and last one was pulling trailer down a wash board road.
Thinking about either 6" or 4" lift if you want let me know prices might go fabtech 2

Ok, So I've gotten a quote from Josh for:
6" Fabtech with coilovers and 5" block
dual steering stabilizer
18" ProComp 7105s
35" Toyo MTs

Do I really need the 5" block? I have a 1.5" AAL. I just read that the 5" block with the performance shocks causes the shocks to not tighten up. I went with the coilovers because of the AAl as well. I figured I could at least get my rig sitting level.

I live in northern Canada and my rig is in 4hi most of the winter.I regularly use both my truck, and many other trucks at my job,at highway speeds with 4hi.Thats what it's for.Getting where you need to be,no matter what is falling from the sky,or freezing to your face.

I guess everyone is different, but if i feel the need to shift into 4by, i sure the hell aint gonna be cruising at highway speeds. I use my 4by a lot in the winter too, probably 200 times or more, but only when i'm playing/fishing/backing trailers up in the snow, horrible road conditons, or whatver. Eitherway i guess
