Did your gear shifter feel much different after the lift was on?'

Mine feels a lot different now but it seems to work fine still in all gears.

 

Mine feels the same. Did you pull the gromet that held the cable to the cab before you lifted the truck? I did, but i never tried to put it back in because I didn't have enough slack in the cable. Shifts fine though.

 

I don't think I did. The only thing I did was take off the push on connector against the firewall. It seems to have enough slack.

Oh well I'll jack with it somemore tonight or something.

 

yes, the shifter will feel different after the bl. did you mount the kit bracket onto the transmission to help out? i originally did not, and i snapped the little gear selector cable that moves the needle in the cluster. also, if you had stock tow hooks, just trim the valance to make them fit in the stock spot. gap guards are basically just wheel well liner extensions.

 

ya i put the bracket on. I took the tow hooks off. I saw someone on here put some Chevy hooks in the frame I thought about doing that. They still stick out of the valance in the same spot then.
