01 F150 4X4 Screw Front end clunking

OK I have replaced my upper control arms, lower ball joints, and shocks but i still have a clunking noise in the front end when going over bumps.

Has anyone replaced their Idler Arm themselves? If so how did you do it? and what problems did you run into?

I just had the front end aligned after replacing the control arms and ball joints and the mech said the tie rods look good. truck has 85K.

Do you need to realign after replacing the idler arm?

Thanks

The idler arm is a heigh wear item on our trucks. Replacing it will not affect the alignment. ALso, check the swaybar end links. They are bad about breaking also.

Does it clunk when you steer? Possibly tie rod ends or CV joints if that's the case.
