That would do absoluty nothing for your ride height. You could put more tension on your torsion bars. I don't know how much that would give you though. If you don't know what your doing I probably wouldn't recomend it though.

NO thats not true.

You will need to get a spacer for the coilsprings up front.

Go onto ebay and type in 97-03 F150 Lift... you will find out what you need. Make sure you get the 2wd leveling kit.

And that would also do ABSOLUTELY nothing for him either.

He has a 2wd which has no torsion bars. thus nothing to crank,

The torsion bar crank is perfectly safe i have had it done for close to a year with no problems. But this is only for the 97-03 F150 4x4's

If you want just 1 inch of lift in the front, get the daystar 1inch coil spring spacers. IMO, don't go with any higher coil spacer than 1 inch. If you want more lift, like 3-3.5 inches, get lift spindles from fabtech or doetsch. With either of these lift methods, you do not need to get different length shocks but would be a good time to upgrade to ranchos or bilsteins.

I have not used the daystar coil spacers on a f150, but i did put a set on my friends dodge ram, and he treats the truck like a trophy truck, and has had no problems with it... other than its still a dodge!!!! he went with a 2.5 inch spacer on his, and it was supper easy to install, took about 45 minutes for the pair of them!!!

You can lift the front of a 97-03 4x2 up to two inches using Daystar coilspring spacers. If you go any higher you will need new upper control arms to get the alignment within specs. You may need to add adjustable camber bolts with the Daystar spacers also. The are about $40 at most parts stores.

do a spacer like everyone said. if you are at all mechanically inclined it will take you around 1 1/2 - 2 hours at most. its really simple IMO. and then you will need an alignment.
