Okay I have another question&I'm kinda confused and I think this question sounds dumb

Okay so I have a question. If I get the Bilstein 5100's for the front....do I still need a 2.5" leveling kit in order to fit 35x12.5's on my truck.

So is there 2 options....Bilstein 5100's in the front brings it up 2 inches OR Get a 2.5" leveling kit.

OR are these guys just getting the bilstein 5100's because their a better shock?

The bilstein's seem relatively cheap to me, I found a website where the front shocks are $132.00 a piece or I buy a $200 to $260 dollar leveling kit.

Most leveling kits are less than $100. $200 to $260 is way, way overpriced for a leveling kit.
As for the Bilsteins, you cannot combine them with a leveling kit for more lift. Your ball joint angles would be way too extreme. Some people go with the Bilsteins because they can upgrade to a better shock and level their truck at once.

The Bilsteins also provide an extra 1-2" of wheel travel. Being a better shock, leveling the truck, and increased wheel travel.

Bilsteins because they improve the ride and handling of the truck.

To be honest, why don't guys just upgrade to the bilsteins over a leveling kit then? I wanted a leveling kit, but I think I'd rather pay a little bit more and get a better shock, level my truck out, and still be able to fit 35" s under my truck.

because the bilsteins are 1 harder to put in, and two more expensive.

why doesnt everybody that wants to run 35's just lift the truck with a lift kit? because they dont have/or want to spend the money or time to get one. but 35's look way to stuffed on a level truck IMO

Okay so I have another question. What lift would you recommend? If I wanted a 4" lift or 6" lift. Whats a cheaper, but yet reliable brand to go with. I see you have pro comp and I was looking at Fabtech's 6" Lift and I love it, but I need something cheaper. What would you recommend?

A 6" Rough Country suspension lift brand new for $1,199.99. That sounds cheap to me.

I wouldn't do a leveling kit with 35's. Putting 35's on your truck will just throw your speedometer off more and make it slower. A lot of times you get what you pay for, esp considering lift kits. I've never installed or new anyone with a rough country IFS lift. 1200 is pretty cheap, but you also have to consider installation, re-alignment.

BTW you look like one proud f150 owner

If you search around EBay, you can find great prices on the standard 6 inch Pro Comp lift.

Hell yeah I'm proud, I'm 18 and I'm rollin around in a 2005 Ford, I'm lucky my parents don't mind co-signing for me lol, I've never missed a payment on anything I've owned since I was 17 and I've had 3 loans so far, so when I turn 19 I'm hoping my credit should be pretty good. I need to sell my damn motorycycle so I can do some more mods to the truck aka lift, tires, bullbar/foglights, linex bed liner, retint my front windows(35% isnt dark enough) I wanna be able to be sittin next to a cop and flip them off and have them not know what im doin over there

Hey by the way, I'd be more proud of my truck if I was you blackf150....ya wanna trade? that blacks probably getting old anyways, since it looks so sharp lol, you need to get a dull truck and start over...hey I have a silver one for ya!

That's always nice to hear this being said instead of hearing about kids getting their trucks as gifts.

No offense to those of you who were given your truck but like I said, it's nice seeing people who are younger doing it on their own.
