Someone in another thread recently brought something up that may have changed my mind. He said that he got his 8" Rize lift for $2600. I figured out that the satge 1, Bilsteins, Rize 6" block and brake line kit and Camburgs are going to cost me about $2700. Not to mention the additional install costs for the Camburgs. The only reason I was going to do the Camburgs was because of the angles I was going to put on the ball joint by adding an additional 2" to the 6" lift and since the Rize 8" doesn't do that, I'm not going to worry about them right now. Long story short, the Rize should cost me about the same as what I was going to do AND give me the option to go up 2 more inches later on.

Hey FX4LIFE......

Did your truck sit level with just the Rize 8" on it or did it squat a little in back? How much did you pay for your Rize and from where?

i think a site has the rize for like $2450 or so w/ out the brake lines and what ever the other thing you need for the rize is. can't remember the site tho. with a 6" block in the rear i would assume the truck would sit pretty level since stock the truck is 2" lower in the front. DB and fx4life will be your best friends with any rize related questions.

Just so everybody knows........

http://exaltmotorsports.com/ sells the Rize Industries kits at the cheapest prisec I've found. They have the 8" basic kit which includes 2.0 shocks, aal and brake line kit for $2771. They also have the 8" IFS kit which is everything you need minus the aal, shocks and brake line kit for $2163. They have the brake line kit for $115 too. Shipping from SOCAL to MD is $150 roughly according to their site. This site http://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-13...on-system.html has a list of different shock options for the 8" Rize. I'm going with the Bilstein 5100's for $156. I already have a Pro Comp AAL so all I need to buy is the IFS kit, the brake line kit and the shocks. All that totaled is $2575 shipped.

Not bad huh?!!!

Sometime in the next 2 months....waitin' on my tax return.

I'm thinking about the new KMC XD ADDICTS in either all black or black and machinedhttp://kmcwheels.com/html_pages/xdseries.html. Either gonna go 18's or 20's but most likely 18's. For tires I'm gonna go MT ATZ's in 37x13.5.

What'ya think?

that set up should look sweet. IMO, 20's would look much better for those wheels with 37's. 18's and 35s maybe but the 37's won't do those wheels justice in 18". what colors your truck? don't think i have ever seen a photo.

Yeah I've been leaning a lot more towards the 20's and I think that's the route I'm gonna go but I am really partial to my MT's and they don't make any 37x13.5's in the ATZ, MTZ or Baja Claw. I want an aggressive AT or something similar and I don't know what to go with.

Anybody have any experience with the Pro Comp Xterrain or Super Swamper M16? The Swampers are about $110 cheaper per tire.

On a positive note, I HAVE decided that I am going with the all black XD Addicts. They haven't even been released yet but they will be arriving to the place I'm buying them in the next few weeks they said. I also have finalized all the #'s for the lift, brake line kit, Bilstein 5100 rears and shipping @ $2667 and I will be placing my order tomorrow!! Woohoo!

I have some pics of my truck from a few months ago in my album, I've done a few things since that shoot and I will update my pics in the next couple days as a farewell tribute to the current set up. My truck is silver with 35% tint front windows, 27% tint heads/tails/3rd brake, FX4 stickers removed, side steps removed, flat black textured bullbar with a bit of fabrication on my part w/ skidplate removed and 130w KC's tited at 27% and mounted upside down. You'll understand when you see the pics of it.

I will MOST DEF. post pics when I get the Rize and new wheels on!!!

What say you about the ire dilema?

Actually leaning more towrds the SS M16 because of all I just read.......

Searched a few threads and read that the Xterrains will only get you about 35k....

I don't know what the Swampers get but that makes it enticing to me! I think I might roll the dice and get the M16's. Their about $300 cheaper than the Xterrains and i don't think they'll get any worse life outta them.

Everybody says Toyo MT's but I don't want to run mud terrains and they are over $500 more evpensive than the Swampers.

Just what i'm thinking right now........

OK so now I've lightened my restrictions a bit and I'm willing to go with a mud terrain tire. I still don't really want to go with the Toyo's because of the price and the tread just isn't aggressive enough for my taste. I do however like the Kumho Road Venture MT KL71's. I found them for $1366 delived in the 37x13.5x20. I just haven't been able to find any info about tread life on them. Anybody got some input for me?

I know this thread has taken a turn towrds this tire issue......sorry....it'll be back to suspension tight after this I think......

I'm giving in to the mud terrain genre fully now and it's up in the air between the Kumho's and the Toyo's. Everybody says Toyo's and after looking at them a bit harder, I agree that they are a great looking tire and aggressive enough. The price isn't that big of deal because I've found them for as cheap as $432/tire. That still puts them at about $400/set more than the Kumho's but I can live with it if they get me better performance, durabilty and last longer. The Kumho's are an awesome looking tire but we all know we can't just buy off of looks. Too many posts read about Kumho negatives. Also read that they have a softer compund so they will wear faster. Long and the short of it is that I am going with the Toyo MT's in 37x13.5x20 mounted on the all matte black XD Addicts. Should be placing my order in the next couple weeks........

There.....all done with tires....now back to suspension.....

I ORDERED MY RIZE 8",BRAKE LINE KIT AND BILSTEINS TODAY!!!!!!! WWWWWOOOOOOHHHHOOOOOOO I'M EXCITED!!!!
