The rancho subframe look tough compare to other lift on the market.

It's just the price that seem high compare to other.

if it were me :

i would keep the BL , and just go with a 6 inch lift. same price if not cheaper than rancho.

4 inch rancho , will only gain you 2 inches if you think about, 2 inches isnt not worth $2k , thats just me though

wait till you need new tires and go with 37/38's and re-gear

I agree with IDNC76...If you get the 4'' you will probably wish you went with the 6'' later down the road.....

What's your mpg with 37 and re-gear?

That's the problem, i don't want to kiss my millage goodbye, because it's my daily driver and i'm doing close to 25 000miles/year.

he said he was going to keep the body lift. so he would be gaining 4" of lift. and have a total of 7" of lift. if he decided later down the road to do a leveling kit he would be at 9".
pat, if your going to regear, you might as well do 4.88's and a 6" lift. if your not going to regear then go w/ a 4" kit

Its not gonna be worth takin the BL off. you will have to get all the new parts from FORD. All the old bushings and all. Its going to cost a bit. I wouldnt do it.

If you want "REAL GROUND CLEARANCE" the only way to do that is LARGER TIRES. Ground clearance is measure to the lowest point, the axles. The only way to raise this point is to put on bigger tires.

Imput my suggestion: Dont go with a 6" lift got with a Rancho 4" Lift that gives you 7" and you can run 35's or 36's and look great.

I think ATOM has a Rancho 4" lift and likes it alot, im not sure on that but i think he does.
Ya thats what I was gonna say...Make it a 7 inch lift and you will have the best of both worlds. I would get the 4.5 inch lift or 4 inch lift. and 35s will look fine on that setup.

his setup now.

2 as
3 in body lift
_______
about 5 inches total

future setup :

3in body lift
4 inch rancho
_______
7 inches

the a.s. is 2 inches, remove that, add the 4in kit , only really gains you 2 inches over the setup with the A.s. , you know what i mean

not worth it imho

Ya but he did say he wanted an actual suspension lift rather than just body lift and leveling kit. and honestly it will look like more than 2 inches after its all said and done. Ive seen 7 inches on our trucks and it doesn't look bad at all...Its perfect for people who want to run 35s but a little more height than the everyday 6 inch that so many people have.

I know i would be gaining only 2'' or 2.5'' from a 4'' or 4.5'' suspension lift, but i wouldn't have the same ride my leveling have been giving me for 2 years now.

The leveling kit bump steer all over the place, the ride is really stiff up front... After reading alot of post here, every people say a suspension lift give the same or better ride then stock. That's what i'm after, better ride and a little more lift and ground clearance under the frame and cross member.

I'd go with 37'' if it wasn't my daily driver. Doing over 25 000miles a year with 37'' would be crazy to me. I can't imagine the millage with 37'' even with re-gear. That's alot of weight you had to the ''drivetrain''.

So i'm pretty sure a 4'' Rancho or 4.5'' Superlift would give me what i want.

Agreed man...It will be exactly what you want. Also you could look into a 36 inch tire or 37 that measures like a 36.4 like mine do. That way u wont be adding that much weight but you will get a little bit beefier look. I have had the 37s for a year in a half and i average about 13 miles to the gallon. Not to shabby.

forgot about the spacer. but the truck will look much bigger IMO, but i'm not sure if i would spend my money on 2" of lift, but i do agree w/ pat, that the leveling kit changes the ride of the truck a bit. i can't stand driving my sister and dads truck, so rough compared to mine. that red subframe of the rancho would look sick on your truck pat

I think something is wrong with my truck, because my last tank i did 11.5 MPG US or 13.7 MPG Imp. and i only have 34.6'' tires. I do have the stock gear, witch is 3.73 though.

Or maybe it's a mix of gearing and weather. It's -5F most of the time around here and i'm 80% of the time driving in the city.
